We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter and an experienced Lead Meat Cutter to join our busy butcher department. If you take pride in precision cutting, outstanding product quality, and delivering exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you!
salary: $42,000 - $110,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 5 AM - 5 PM
education: No Degree Required
Responsibilities
- Perform precision cutting, trimming, bone-in breaking, and custom preparation of beef, pork, poultry, and specialty meats.
- Lead by example on the floor, assisting with daily scheduling, task delegation, and training apprentice cutters.
- Monitor case setup, product rotation, and date codes to ensure freshness and minimize shrink.
- Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and OSHA compliance throughout the department.
- Track inventory levels, assist with ordering, and perform weekly yield/margin audits.
- Realizar cortes de precisión, deshuesado, perfilado y preparación personalizada de carne de res, cerdo, aves y carnes especializadas.
- Liderar con el ejemplo en el área de trabajo, asistiendo en la programación diaria, asignación de tareas y capacitación del personal.
- Monitorear la presentación de la vitrina, rotación de productos y fechas de vencimiento para garantizar la frescura y reducir mermas.
- Mantener el cumplimiento estricto de seguridad alimentaria, sanitización y regulaciones de OSHA en todo el departamento.
- Controlar niveles de inventario, asistir en la realización de pedidos y realizar auditorías de rendimiento y margen.
The essential functions of this role include:
